I went to Pet Smart today looking for a halo for my cat. I came home with a dog.

Ginger is a Jack-A-Ranian and is 10 weeks old.

Day two still no potty accidents in the house. You just might be the easiest puppy ever!

The Life of a 32 yrs old College Student

Working 17 years

Graduated High School 14 1/2 years

Wife 12 1/2 years

Mommy 9 1/2 years

College Student on and off 15 yrs and counting

This is has been my current setup 3-4 times a week when I study for the last year. I am looking at getting a desk for my room however right now the kids and hubby are in bed so this works just fine. Just me, a glass of wine, wet nails careful not to smudge on my keyboard or while writing, Pandora radio station set to Enya on my phone and learning something new everyday.

I am investing in myself for me and my family. I am a role model for my kids showing them the importance of an education, and  how this would have been so much easier if I had completed this when I was younger instead of later in life with a family and full time job.

It is allot of work, but it will be worth it.

My hubby and I had a wonderful dinner at Ukai Saturday just the two of us (and five strangers as we sat at the hibachi table). A guy at another table was snapping picture with his phone so I thought what the heck and took pictures of my dinner :-)

Friday I tried out the new restaurant Zoup downtown Lansing. There are at least 10 soups on display and you can taste test them all before deciding which one you want to order. I went with the Lemon Lentil and a Cobb Salad.

I purchased these boots for my daughter last night and I fell in love with them! Since I can never find shoes that fit myself, I invest in my daughters collections. She wore one of the two new pairs of boots around the house tonight.

Most days I hate you!

I hate how you can ruin my day and make me feel so sad. I hate that I even care what you have to say. Why do I let you make me feel this way?

Before and After

Last week while I was searching for a nail polish color under my bathroom sink, I decided to refinish my bathroom vanity. It was around 9:30 PM and I grabbed my camera, took a 'before' picture then started taking off the knobs, and doors and began my first coat of paint. I remember hearing my hubby tell his friend, "The wife is tearing apart the bathroom right now."

Over the next two days, I put on the final coats of paint, and put the vanity back together.

We purchased new handles and this is the finished product today. I am very happy with the outcome and love the more modern look.

Saturday = Working Out, Shopping and Eating

Today was the 2nd day of my Shred workout with Jillian. My oldest daughter worked out with me and my youngest quit after the warm up.

We went media center and couch browsing today and I am finding that I do not enjoy shopping for furniture. I know what I want for the media center and can not find it. As for the couch, I have no idea what I want so this is even more difficult. I snapped a picture of a potential sectional while we were out. At this point, I have a top 3 but nothing that says take me home. Sigh...

After working out this morning and doing almost a hundred squats at the furniture stores, I washed all my hard work down the drain with appetizers at Applebees and 4 Miller Lite's.

This morning I worked out with Jillian for the first time. Let's just say that jumping jacks suck when I am 32 yrs old and 40 lbs over weight! I had to do them one handed today. Reminder to self: wear a sports bra in the morning. I purchased the 30 Day Shred and am willing to give this a try for a solid 30 Days. I may have a busy schedule, but I know I can spend 20 minutes each morning to pump this out and get myself back on track. I enjoyed working out with our new TV. It made my workout feel more like a class then watching an instructional video on a TV.

Tonight the girls and I danced around the living room making it my 2nd workout of the day. Daddy joined in and his work out consisted of lifting, spinning and flipping our 90+ lbs daughter. I'll stick to my 5lb weights.

Thankful for my life and my love

Today I felt thankful for many things in my life.

 As I drove into work today, I thought about how many years I have made this morning drive and after five years, I still love what I do. I had a very productive day with my projects and even tackled my filing cabinet. I enjoy my work, the people I work with, and I am blessed to be doing something I love. When I left work tonight, I noticed a beautiful painted sky with a flag at half mass. Again, I felt thankful for the life I have, what I have done to earn it and those responsible for my freedom.

I am thankful for my husband. He is an amazing man. He makes me laugh, I can sing in front of him without being shy, I can speak my mind and he actively listens, and he has been my best friend for over 15 years. To this day, he always tells me how beautiful I am, still holds the door for me, kisses me good-bye while I am sleeping before he goes to work, is always willing to give a helping hand, supports my schooling and makes sure I am able to focus 100% when I need to. My husband would go without so the girls and I could have everything. Tomorrow is his birthday and I am on the hunt for the perfect gift for him. Today I sent him two text pictures with a little note telling him I love him and blowing him a kiss...

Dream a little dream for me...

Yesterday I started dreaming of an island vacation. I pictured my husband and I spending our days by the ocean, listening to the waves, feeling the heat of the sun and sipping drinks and eating hoer derv's all day. We have gone on a few small trips as a couple but never a 'honeymoon style' trip. My oldest child would have a fit if we left them for more than a weekend so at this point I am only dreaming. We have been married 12 years and some day we will have our Island Oasis Honeymoon.

My coworker gave me an angel that I have hanging at my desk. I like the saying that is engraved.

Leaving work tonight I snapped a picture of Capitol Ave from my parking ramp. It was cold, snowing and my window scrapper is smaller than a spatula. Tomorrow I am throwing the kitchen broom in my truck.
